Is this for real? Seriously, did we wake up in a fifth wheel bedroom?

It took me a few minutes to realize I wasn’t dreaming. It took my breath away just thinking about it. So, I got up, took Bella outside to do some “business” then sat down on the sofa. Then it dawned on me that it’s 1.1.11, the dawn of the first day…of the new year and of our life as fulltimers! And in the last few days we had trekked from Paducah, KY to Brookings, OR via Las Cruces, NM! …pretty amazing for two old folks.
Ya, we did have to grab a “cat nap” or two…
No, no, not cat NIP…although if it could have energized us we might have tried it~
Finally, let the real adventure to begin…
I won’t mention that they forgot to bring the KEYS when they delivered it to us…and that we had to get a locksmith! ~Cha-ching~
We landed at Shoreline RV Park in Eureka, CA on New Year’s Eve. What a great place to launch our adventure! Today we unloaded the stuff we’ve been carrying around with us. The rest of our “priceless possessions” are in storage.
Hey, wait a minute…didn’t we have an auction? Where did all this stuff come from? We may have to downsize AGAIN!
This is a job for Superman or Superwoman!
Nice job superpeople~
SO…HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!
To all you crazy knuckle-heads out there making Resolutions…here are mine…

Merry Christmas Everyone!
I’ve been having so much fun, making so many new memories I haven’t taken the time to blog…
I hope everyone enjoyed celebrating with their families and friends during this wonderful time.
My favorite memory from this Christmas is seeing both of my parents, my children, Josh and Danielle, and my step-son, Corey!
…and coconut cake…
What’s your favorite memory from Christmas 2010?
Blessings Y’all!

My little pity party began when I realized I would not see my family this Thanksgiving.
Robert was scheduled to work, Mom and Dad are in Kentucky,
Danielle is in Florida, and Josh is in Missouri with his father’s family.
….I’m in a tiny hotel room in California! Sigh~
~Cue the spotlight~
Then, like a light from heaven, I saw reality.
A slide show of blessings began to play…
~Fabulous Family~
~Forever Friends~
and this is just a sampling of them :)
I also saw the church I was baptized in, beautiful homes I’d lived in, weekend trips to the lake, healthy newborns, miraculous life-savings, quick surgery recoveries, unbelievable sales of homes, friends who call at just the right times, an inspirational blog …sunsets.
I was reminded of times God provided work and necessities,
and times He blessed us with more than we ever dreamed.
Quickly refocusing on my blessings, Robert arrived home sharing that he had Thursday off
Can anyone say, “YAY?”
So I cooked a delightful breakfast for us, then instead of going out for a traditional meal, we devoured our lunch inside our warm, little hotel room. Relaxing, sharing the day together, blended with family phone calls filled our day. In the spirit if giving, I made the hotel employees some personalized candy. They have taken such good care of us and I wanted to show them how much they were appreciated. So, the housekeepers, front office personnel, and maintenance men were thrilled seeing their names on their candy!
So, you see, the party was short and interrupted by Divine intervention and it’s made all the difference.
Happy Thanksgiving to All!
Blessings Y’all!
