The Waiting Room is quiet.
Some “waiters” are on their cell phones, some are asleep, others are visiting with friends and family. The WAIT has been LONG…I believe I have made a permanent indention in this chair! (Is that anything like “I’ve made my mark?”) Dad was scheduled for back surgery today at 10am here at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. His surgery actually began at 1:30pm although he was scheduled for 10am and they are not finished yet.
He wouldn’t let me take a picture of him in is surgical gown …It was a lovely shade of lavender with a paw print on it.
I’ve had many reasons to believe that God is with him and that everything will be fine. My faith sustains me yet it’s always nice to have some encouragement. For me that came thru a fellow blogger’s post yesterday including excerpts from the 23rd Psalm. I always find that passage very comforting.
Then I found this painting…
entitled: Chief of the Medical Staff by Nathan Greene

It took my breath away~
The Lord is so good to give us comfort in times of concern, thru friends, family, paintings, and even fellow bloggers…thanks Margie…
Headed over to the coffee pot.
I’ll post again once he is out of surgery and in his hospital room.
Blessings Y’all! Kathy

Kathy, I will say a prayer for your Dad and keep you both in my thoughts tonight.
I do believe that when we live in Him we see his quiet messages in the simple things....such as a painting or a note from a friend or even a stranger. Mike and I will keep your father in our thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and a blessed recovery. He is the great physician!!
